dear Katherine
Today I met a very courageous lady named Katherine while I was visiting my mom. She is a nurse and was taking care of my mom and she is from Sierra Leone where for 12 years there was a terrible war and many were left starving and ophans. She let me know she is a nun and has special permission to work to send money home to her family. I told her I was also Catholic too, and would keep her and her family are in my prayers. You never know who you are gonna meet. She took care of orphans in her country no matter who there were, christian or not, just like Mother Teresa took care of orphans. Her whole life is in dedication to the service of others, nothing for herself but her smile shines like the sun. I am sure she was like an angel for those who needed help, who needed the Lord. Just like todays Homily Father Chris said Jesus is in doing the little things for others, helping an elder load their groceries, or sharing time and talent with your Church. I will be looking forward to seeing her when I visit my mother! This photo reminded me of her being the rainbow at the end of a storm for so many.
