the Dance

By Amy Gail Jenkins The wind blows a cool and mysterious breeze Like a sense of wonder that brings you to your knees At awe of the universe, at peace at last Looking to the future and away from the past A chance to finally rise up and shine You feel that you finally have a sign of what is to come and you fear not because your troubles you already forgot. So why do you feel that nagging resistance As if you don't believe in your own existence Across the desert, across many miles lies the answer, you have been looking for a while So keep on walking, the water is near The sea is wide, full of endless tears Many came before you, many will follow Your soul has depth, it is no longer hollow So finally feel the emotions that cascade Let happiness embrace you and sorrows fade In the Lord you were wonderfully made A better day will come child, listen to my words They have been spoken many times, but have not been heard So do the best you can here and dance your sweet dance Your reward will be in heaven, You only have one chance
